The Mandalorian Season 2 is...wait *checks notes*...on schedule?!

The world is thirsty for good news, or at least not-terrible news...and thankfully executive producer and favorite Iron Man bodyguard Jon Favreuwas able to give us a glimmer of hope in stating that “We were lucky enough to have finished photography before the lock down. Thanks to how technology-forward Lucasfilm and ILM are, we have been able to do all of our visual effects and editing and postproduction remotely through systems that had been set up by those companies for us.”

The comments came from a virtual panel for the ATX Television festival where Favreau took the "stage" online, and this added to the excitement about Robert Rodriguez(Sin City) and Peyton Reed(Ant-Man & The Wasp) would be directing the show for it's second go-around.

Favreau added “As we explore partnering with new filmmakers and having new characters and going deeper with the characters we already have, it's really been very fun and fulfilling and I hope people are having as much fun seeing it as we are having making it.

“We are building what people loved about the first season. It doesn’t feel like the next season, it feels like we’re continuing.” We've also received casting updates: Rosario Dawson is rumored to play Ahsoka Tano, a fan-favorite character from the Clone Wars series. Temuera Morrison(Jango Fett in Attack Of The Clones) has been given the nod to play the galaxy's most infamoust bounty hunter (*clone)Boba Fett. We keep getting little updates here and there, and honestly if it's a steady stream that keeps me alive until October when the new season premieres on Disney+, I'll take it.
