Academy Award winner Jeff Bridges has been diagnosed with lymphoma. The iconic actor shared the news on his official social media. Despite the devastating news, The Big Lebowski star seemed optimistic about the treatment ahead. Read the full post below.


As the Dude would say.. New S**T has come to light. I have been diagnosed with Lymphoma. Although it is a serious disease, I feel fortunate that I have a great team of doctors and the prognosis is good. I’m starting treatment and will keep you posted on my recovery. I’m profoundly grateful for the love and support from my family and friends. Thank you for your prayers and well wishes. And, while I have you, please remember to go vote. Jeff Bridges is fondly known for his wild role in the cult classic The Big Lebowski. Some of Bridges' more prominent performances include Thunderbolt and Lightfoot, The Contender, The Fisher King, Iron Man, True Grit, The Giver, Hell or High Water, and others. In 1982, he starred as Kevin Flynn in Tron and in 2010 he reprised his role in Tron: Legacy. That same year, Bridges won the Academy Award for Best Actor for his performance in Crazy Heart.


Bridges' latest film was the 2018 neo-noir flick Bad Times at the El Royale which was written and directed by Drew Goddard.
