Nickelodeon Classic 'Legend Of The Hidden Temple' Re-Boot Show Casting Adult Contestants This Summer

No, but like...it's ACTUALLY happening this time.

Back in 2019, the streaming TV service Quibi announced it was resurrecting the classic Nickelodeon game show from the 90's, Legends Of The Hidden Temple, but with adult contestants. Well. Quibi went under a year later. Elder Millennials such as myself screamed in agony. We were SO close to having one of the best shows of our childhood back! Well, now...it's back...again! The CW has purchased rights to the show(Kirk Fogg and all!) to begin filming this July in Los Angeles. Hopefuls are invited to apply on the official casting website.

Legends originally ran for 3 seasons from 1993 to 1995. Contestants traversed various physical challenges and ultimately ran a suspiciously Indiana Jones-esque final course complete with idols and terrifying ghost warriors. Original host Kirk Fogg was approached by TMZ and he seemed incredibly excited. "The temple is going to be bigger", Fogg explained. His joy can be felt in his words, and I'm honestly so excited that this is happening for him...and all of us that felt cheated about the return a couple years ago.

Now, let's all pray to Olmec that this actually happens now. We deserve a good reboot.

Paul Brown is the founder of Kulture Popped and still has major childhood regret from ever winning a piece of the Aggro-Crag from GUTS.
