There's a lot to unpack in the first look at the new Marvel miniseries.
The first preview of the new Marvel miniseries Loki has finally arrived. The intense trailer is nearly three minutes long, leaving fans with a lot to unpack. The forthcoming show premieres on Disney+ next May.
Check out the official trailer below.
Loki will consist of six episodes and is part of Phase IV of the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
The show will see Golden Globe winner Tom Hiddleston reprise the title role. Hiddleston starred as Loki - Thor's brother - in six MCU blockbusters. The show will also star Sophia Di Martino, Gugu Mbatha-Raw, Sasha Lane, Wunmi Mosaku, and Hollywood A-Lister Owen Wilson. Production began back in January, but was suspended in March due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The studio began shooting again back in September, and production is expected to wrap up later this month.
The series takes place after the events of Avengers: Endgame (2019). In the trailer for the show, Loki is brought to the mysterious Time Variance Authority after stealing the Tesseract. In doing so, he created a new timeline that he travels in order to change events in human history. But, things slowly start to backfire.
Kevin Feige, Michael Waldron, Stephen Broussard, and Kate Herron will serve as executive producers. Herron will also direct, and Waldron will be the show's head writer.
