Nintendo Clubhouse Games Out NOW!

Nintendo just dropped Clubhouse Games on 06-05-20 and holy crap does it pack a punch! It includes 51 games to choose from. Yes 51 PLAYABLE GAMES! Games like Air Hockey and Backgammon to Texas Hold’em and War. There are classics like Chess, Checkers and Solitaire but it also includes games similar to Connect 4 and Yahtzee only here they’re called Four-in-a-Row and Yacht Dice. Check out the full list of games below. As well as the trailer which shows a little bit of each.

When Nintendo launched the Wii they gave us the super simple, casual hits with the Wii Sports series. These games brought families young and old together AND were specifically advertised that way. Unfortunately since Nintendo launched the Switch back in March 2017, they have failed miserably to provide anything on the level of Wii Sports to their audience, especially the people who got into gaming solely because of Wii Sports.
Nintendo did create a family friendly assortment of party games for the Wii back in 2011, under the name Go Vacation that was later ported to the Switch in 2018. Although the mini games don’t really utilize the motion controls like the Wii did. And unfortunately it plays more like the open world game, Lego Worlds but with mini games. It’s very child-like in appearance and doesn’t translate as well for adults the way the original Wii games did.

Now that Clubhouse Games is out, Nintendo is finally providing us with a great motion controlled standard bowling game! And let’s be honest, that was the main game you were playing on Wii Sports. Plus that only had 4 other games and this one features 50 other games and a piano simulator.

This game also features something that we’ve never seen before, and that is the ability to play 4 player local coop with only one copy of the game!! That’s bonkers crazy! This feature to our knowledge has never been available for any other games.

This is a treasure trove of games collected from different cultures around the world, and remastered digitally for everyone’s enjoyment. Some that are familiar and others not so much but a collection nonetheless, of none other than the very best. We may never get another Wii Sports, but by the looks of this, it’s another great assortment of games we can play with our children and our parents. This one’s built for family, enjoy it.
Are there any classic games here that you can't wait to play? Let us know in the comments!
