Sarah Paulson Stuns In Trailer For Netflix's 'Ratched'
She brings the merciless nurse to the screen again after almost 60 years.

"Looking good today, Mildred," she said to herself in the mirror with a glassy-eyed look upon her face.
The incomparable Sarah Paulson stuns as Mildred Ratched in the final trailer for the new Netlix series Ratched. The show is set to premiere on September 18. View the final trailer below.
The series serves as the origin story of Nurse Ratched - the merciless nurse from the 1975 classic One Flew Over The Cuckoo's Nest. Paulson (American Horror Story, 12 Years a Slave) plays Mildred Ratched. The character was portrayed by Louise Fletcher in the film from '75. In the new series, a young Ratched (Paulson) is a nurse seeking employment at psychiatric hospital in California in 1947.
“The doctors here, they want to give you hope that one day you can leave here, that you deserve someone to show you mercy," Nurse Ratched says as patients undergo unnerving procedures. "How different I would be if someone had.”
Created by Evan Romansky, Ratched features a solid cast that includes Cynthia Nixon (Sex and the City), Sharon Stone (Basic Instinct, Casino), Judy Davis (Deconstructing Harry, The Dressmaker), and Jon Jon Briones (American Horror Story: Apocalypse). The cast rounds out with Finn Wittrock, Charlie Carver, Alice Englert, Amanda Plummer, Sophie Okonedo, Corey Stoll, Brandon Flynn and others.
