The VelociCoaster will be unleashed next summer.

"Hold onto your butts."

While that famous phrase is uttered by Samuel L. Jackson in the original Jurassic Park film, it is probably the most applicable quote from the franchise for this announcement. Universal Orlando will unleash an all-new thrill ride based on the terrifying raptors from Jurassic World. The VelociCoaster debuts at Islands of Adventure at Universal Orlando Summer 2021.

Step into Jurassic Park and stand in awe and wonder at a land transformed by science after 65 million years. But don’t be deceived by the island’s beauty because danger lurks behind every corner. Only here can you live the adventure of coming face to face with giant creatures of the Earth’s past, encounter raptors roaming every day, or take a daring raft expedition through jungles teeming with dinosaurs. For those brave enough to visit the raptor paddock, you may be able to carefully approach one of these deadly predators. Then feel the rush of the hunt as you race through the jungle alongside raptors on the Jurassic World VelociCoaster, a new species of roller coaster coming Summer 2021.

From what we can see, the coaster will carry riders outside as well as through two buildings which we can only imagine will contain some scary and intense sequences in the dark.

While it is not official, you can pretty much find anything on the internet so take a gander at this animated visual video below of what the VelociCoaster experience will be like.

The all-new VelociCoaster is based on Universal Pictures 2015 blockbuster Jurassic World. Directed by Colin Trevorrow, the film starred Chris Pratt, Bryce Dallas Howard, Vincent D'Onofrio, and BD Wong. It was the fourth installment in the franchise and hauled in $1.6 billion at the global box office

The forthcoming film Jurassic World: Dominion is currently in production. Chris Pratt and Bryce Dallas Howard will team up once again, after starring in the franchise's last two installments. Director Colin Trevorrow is returning to helm Dominion after directing Jurassic World and co-writing Fallen Kingdom. Emily Carmichael co-wrote the screenplay for Dominion with Trevorrow.

In a 2018 interview with Entertainment Weekly, Trevorrow said that "Jurassic World 3 [Dominion] will be a science fiction thriller, the same way Jurassic Park was."

Despite production being halted due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, Dominion is still slated for a July 2021 release.
