Wolfman's Got Nards: The Monster Squad Doc New Release Date & Trailer!

IT HAS BEGUN! The new documentary film about the cult classic horror-comedy which debuted in 2018 on the film festival circuit has not only released a new trailer but the long awaited home video release date!

It was announced on September 28, 2020 that Gravitas Features, a Red Arrow Studios company, had acquired the North American Rights to distribute the film and that it would be available for VOD on digital platforms & Blu Ray October 27, 2020!

Anyone who knows me knows how much I love The Monster Squad. I can clearly remember as a child waiting rather impatiently for October to come around because one thing was guaranteed, The Monster Squad would be on USA multiple times from then through Halloween. It became a yearly tradition. Years later, I not only got to meet the cast but was also asked to create a poster for a screening of the film. My signed personal copy of that poster and my "Squad" collection have become some of my most prized possessions ever. I cannot wait to get my copy of Wolfman's Got Nards and kick back with some popcorn and a nice beverage just like I used to as a kid.

The Monster Squad was released in 1987 and almost immediately deemed a complete failure and box office bomb. Written by Shane Black and directed by Fred Dekkar, the Goonies with monsters adventure has only grown in popularity and achieved the status of a cult classic. Directed and produced by the original films star Andre Gower (Sean Crenshaw), the doc's website explains, "Wolfman's Got Nards explores the relationship a dedicated audience (including celebrities and filmmakers) has with The Monster Squad.

This documentary takes and in-depth looks into the film's conception, response, cult status, and revival. Through interviews with the cast, crew, screenwriters, directors, academics and original reviewers as well as through never-before-seen footage, it turns the lens on an audience of self-proclaimed misfits who have kept The Monster Squad alive for more than thirty years."

My love for the Monster Squad is still so strong I continue to produce items from my drawing of Dracula mainly because I want them for myself. Like this new neck-gaiter which you can CLICK HERE to order!
