Disney Plus Day! Here's What You May Have Missed
There's no doubt that Disney+ and all of its outlets including Marvel, Star Wars, National Geographic, Fox, and Pixar is the most magical streaming service of them all. Bringing together multiple fandoms, Disney created a platform for all generations to enjoy. So, of course, Disney+ got it's own very special day, September 8th, to kick off the D23 Expo, which is Disney's own version of comic-con. D23 is happening right this second until Sunday, September 10th. More on that Mickey madness shortly.
Many "ooohs and aaahhhs" from pure excitement delighted fans during the announcements: new releases, special guests, behind the scenes footage, and featurettes from the Mouse House. If you aren't already a subscriber to Disney+, don't worry, you can hop on Steamboat Willy's...boat too!
GET DISNEY+ FOR $1.99
This was probably the biggest announcement of the day. Even though the streaming giant already comes at a low monthly price at 7.99 a month or the 13.99 month bundle including Hulu and ESPN Plus.
YES! This sounds great, but it comes with a catch - this super low price is just for the first month.
However, that's all you really need to explore what Disney+ has to offer you and everyone in your household, which will mostly likely sway you to keep your membership. Personally, I can't live without it. That sounds drastic, compared to other streaming giants, Disney+ is soaring UP into the sky in a big hot air balloon. At the same time most other streaming services are struggling to engage audiences with any new or exclusive content that they actually wanted. No one asked for 56782545 spin-off series, prequels or from popular cable television series from the 70s, 80s, 90s, and so on. In the current land of streaming, each platform will continue to battle it out behind the scenes for rights to specific content. Except for Disney; they already own everything.
Head to Disney Plus now while the deal is hot and subscribe before September 19th.

When you wish upon a star...
Surprise! The live-action version of Pinocchio is now playing for new generations to enjoy. And also create an unrealistic childhood fear of getting stuck inside a whale. All while hopefully teaching kiddos not to lie. Pinocchio stars Tom Hanks, the beloved actor that can do no wrong, even if he's stuck in a Terminal for days.
Here's all the fun (some previously unknown) that released on Disney Plus Day in a handy-dandy list:
Thor: Love and Thunder
Pinocchio
Obi-Wan Kenobi: A Jedi's Return
Cars on the Road
She-Hulk: Attorney at Law (new episode coinciding with the celebration)
Marvel Studios Assembled: The Making of Thor: Love and Thunder
Frozen and Frozen 2 Sing-Alongs
Remembering
Welcome to the Club (a Simpsons short film)
Dancing with the Stars: The Pros' Most Memorable Dances
Tierra Incógnita
Growing Up
Epic Adventures with Bertie Gregory
If you also happen to be a Disney Parks pass member, your subscription will get you some super fun perks at any Disney location.
Keep watch on Kulture Popped for coverage of the D23 Expo. If you couldn't make it to Anaheim, California for the weekend, Mickey Mouse decided that everyone should be able to join in via live stream on YouTube and also Twitter! Expect panels from Marvel, Lucasfilm, National Geographic, Disney, and more. For example, right now they are showing us Talking with Animals, real animals on stage.
