The Mighty World of McCrea?
For weeks now legendary comic artist John McCrea ( Hitman ) has been teasing his twitter followers with cryptic tweets regarding a mysterious new project...
Up until now all there's been to go on is this logo

It's a striking identity, reminiscent of Marvel books in the 1970's but it gives us absolutely zero information on what " The Mighty World Of McCrea " might entail.
That is until now. In a tweet on Monday The 1st of June, Belfast native McCrea who normally plays his work related cards close to his chest threw some more light on the subject.

McCrea wrote: "Hey, wouldn't it be nice if all my creator owned work from the start of my career to now was all in one place? Hmmmmm..."
Yes John, it would be.
Then there's that hash tag #kickstartercomingsoon

From the start of his career in 1989 with TV & toy tie-ins and then his first work with long time collaborator Garth Ennis (Hitman, Preacher, The Boys) in Crisis with "Troubled Souls" McCrea has always been an innovator. For over thirty years he has worked for all the biggest names in Comics publishing as well as being a Lucasfilm accredited artist. His resume of writers he has helped look good, reads like a who's who of the Comic Industry. His style and use of various mediums constantly evolving right up to current day. His most recent creator owned series; Dead Eyes co-created with Gerry Duggan (Maruders, Deadpool) was one of 2019's smash hit books.

Will other noteable works like Mythic with Phil Hester (Green Arrow) feature in "The Mighty World of McCrea"? That remains to be seen, but with thirty years of of back catalogue to choose from that kickstarter isn't going to have much trouble hitting it's target.
